What to Expect?

What can I expect?

I understand seeking therapy can be overwhelming. By this time, you may have contacted or searched several therapists.  I want to thank you for taking the time to read through things. But now what. First, call me today. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if this is the right fit.

Initial Session

After we have established that I am the right fit for you, we can schedule a time to meet for our initial session.  Initial intake are typically 60-75 minutes and will be full assessment. If you are scheduling an appointment for someone under 18, the session will be divided in half (half time sent with parent, the other half with the minor). A credit card on file will be required to schedule an appointment.  If you are a family with custody paper work, you will be asked to provide a copy of the custody arrangement prior to the initial visit. This legal agreement verifies who is able to make mental health decisions for your child in order to attend counseling. Texas State Board guidelines requires us to have this document on file before the child is seen for the first session. It is my policy for both parents to consent for the child’s treatment.

Cancellation Policy

Please call with a full 48-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason. Your counselor has reserved your appointment time specifically for you and may have a waiting list for clients to be seen. While I understand things come up from time-to-time, a fee of $160.00 may be charged in order to compensate your counselor for their time, but may be waived in cases of emergency or certain circumstance. If you simply do not show up for your scheduled appointment the full cost of the session may be charged.

Finally

Therapy is one of the best investments we can provide for ourselves and/or our families. I cannot wait to start on this journey with you.
